Introducing CBG’s Partner Studio Program
Cave Bear Games believes there is room in the games industry for all indies who take the plunge. Through the Partner Studio Program, we bring volunteer indie studios together to create a community of shared knowledge and support.
Community Support
A dedicated safe space for all partners to share their accomplishments, questions, struggles, and more. Hosted through Discord.
Knowledge Sharing
Open avenues for sharing learnings and experiences. We all have the same goal – to build a successful studio – so we all work together for it. Knowledge is Power, and we love to share!
Focused Events
Events, talks, panels, and mentorship from experts in the industry. Topics are always aimed at directly benefiting partner studios. Topics can range from publishing to legal to leadership – delivered by those who know.
Resources & Connections
Our Network is your Network. Personal introductions in the games industry are invaluable, and we love to share! Resources can be scarce around building a studio. Partners work together to guide each other to success.
Partner Types
Teams
Small teams of volunteers working together on building a game. Either a full build or game jams. These teams are casual in style with only a verbal commitment.
Teams do not have legal business filings nor contracts between members. Teams must have at least 2 members to join and can recruit more from our community after joining the program.
Volunteer only.
Volunteer Studios
Teams of any size backed by a legal business (LLC, Co-Op or otherwise). There may or may not be contracts in place between members. Studio’s must have at least 2 members and can recruit more from our community after joining the program.
Studios are required to be completely volunteer at the time of joining. While rev share agreements may exist, there must be no active cash flow. This means no investors, no publishing agreements or grants.
Funded Studios
Teams of any size backed by a legal business (LLC, Co-Op or otherwise). Must have previously been a Volunteer Studio member.
These studios have secured some form of funding, either through investors, publishers or private equity. All members must have some sort of contract in place.
All members must be paid.
